Chickpeas, tahini and garlic paste is the perfect snack, appetizer or sandwich spread alternative. Perfect for a meeting with friends or as part of a lunchbox.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 can of chickpeas (approx. 400g of cooked chickpeas with aquafaba)
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
- 4 tbsp tahini (sesame paste
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
- salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- for decoration: e.g. pomegranate, parsley or finely chopped onion
Drain the canned chickpeas, leaving some of the aquafaba in the pot.
Place the chickpeas in the food processor/blender container. Add a small amount of pickle, lemon juice, garlic, tahini paste, oil and cumin. Blend slowly. Add more chickpeas water / aquafaba if needed.
Season with salt and pepper.
Transfer the finished paste to a bowl and sprinkle with onion or parsley / coriander or pomegranate.
