Asparagus has a lot of minerals. They contain potassium, magnesium, phosphorus and large amounts of calcium. They are a wealth of vitamins: C, E, A, B vitamins and have a large amount of fiber. Green asparagus also contains chlorophyll. A large amount of folic acid is one of the biggest advantages of this vegetable, it is perfectly suitable for pregnant women or for an anemia-treating diet. 

Therefore, whenever it’s a season for these vegetables, it’s worth using. 

In this case, we have baked asparagus on a buttery French pastry, with a hint of mustard and smoked cheese.

Ingredients

We spread the puff pastry on a baking tray. We bend the corners about 1cm. Spread the mustard over the entire surface excluding the sides. Arrange half-asparagus along the short edge. Arrange sliced ​​mushrooms. Sprinkle with jagged mozzarella and sliced ​​oscypek. Sprinkle with oregano, pepper and a little salt. Bake in the oven preheated to 175 ° C for about 25-30 minutes until it is browned. Enjoy your meal!

* oscypek is a typical Polish cheese, you can replace it with other smoked cheese

** the edges of the cake can be spread with egg, but this is not necessary

  • 250 g mozzarella
  • 50 g oscypek ((optionally smoked cheese))
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • salt, pepper
  • 3 teaspoons Dijon mustard
