I present my version of this delicious, filling dish.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, diced into bite-sized pieces
- 1 package of ramen noodles (300g)
- salt
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 clove of garlic (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon of finely chopped ginger
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 1 red pepper, cut into thin slices
- 1 carrot cut into thin sticks
- 1/2 broccoli, divided into small pieces
- green onion
sauce
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons of ketchup
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon of sesame oil
additionally optional: peanuts
Boil water in a pot.
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, oyster sauce (if using) and sesame oil.
Add the pasta to boiling water and cook, stirring occasionally, according to the time on the package. Then strain and set aside to cool.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a non-stick wok (or large frying pan). Add the diced chicken and season lightly with salt, if necessary. When brown, turn and fry on the other side (approx. 5 minutes)
Transfer the chicken to a plate. Reduce the heat and add 1 tablespoon of oil. Place the onion, ginger and garlic in the pan and fry for a few seconds. Then add peppers, carrots and broccoli. Fry for a few minutes until everything softens.
Add the drained pasta along with the chicken to the pan. Pour the prepared sauce and mix thoroughly.
Fry for 1 minute. Season lightly with salt if necessary. Serve warm. You can sprinkle it with peanuts!
Enjoy your meal!
