Delicious, yeast cookies with plum jam. I did not add the minimum amount of sugar to the dough, but they were sprinkled with powdered sugar, which can be omitted.
Ingredients
- 375 g of wheat flour
- 110 g of sour cream
- 30 g fresh or 7 g dry yeast
- 190g of butter
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- plum jam
- Optional for decoration: egg yolk + 2 tablespoons of milk + coarse crystal sugar or powdered sugar
Pour the flour into a bowl, add egg yolks, cream and salt. Dissolve the yeast with a teaspoon of sugar.
Then, rub yeast and chopped butter (or margarine) into the flour.
Knead the dough quickly with your hands and set aside in a warm place for 1 hour.
Then divide the dough into parts. Roll into rectangles and cut out triangles.
Smear each triangle lightly with jam and roll up from the base of the triangle to the tip. It is best to make a small cut in the middle of the dough in the middle of rolling and form a croissant.
Place the cookies on a baking tray and bake at 180 degrees C for min. 12-15 minutes.
Before baking, you can brush each cookie with beaten egg yolk with milk and sprinkle with coarse sugar. Optionally, after baking, sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
Bon Appetit!
