Red beet leaven strengthens blood, increases immunity, reduces hangover, supports the body in the fight against cancer … and many other properties.
You can drink it alone or use it to make borscht (e.g. on Christmas Eve).
Ingredients
- 1.5 kg of red beets
- 5 garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 5 bay leaves
- allspice (approx. 8)
- pepper grains (approx. 6)
- 3 tablespoons of salt
- boiled cold water
Peel, rinse and cut the beets . Peel the garlic.
We throw half the garlic down the jar along with the spices (except salt).
We put beetroot and add the rest of the garlic.
In a separate pot, dissolve the salt in water. About 3 tablespoons for 1.5-2 liters of water.
Pour beetroot. Cover with gauze and leave in a warm place for about 5-7 days.
Garlic should not rise to the surface (strengthens mold growth)
