Wholemeal chocolate cookies

Quite unusual cookies that have a specific taste. They are crunchy, deeply chocolatey, perfect for coffee or milk.

  • 120 g of butter
  • 16 0 g of brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • approx. 40 g golden syrup or honey (liquid)
  • 75 g dark chocolate 80%
  • 200 g of wholemeal rye flour
  • 30 g cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 50g of chocolate particles
  • a few drops of chocolate or vanilla extract

Put butter, sugar and salt in a bowl. Mix until fluffy. During this time, dissolve the chocolate in a water bath.

Add egg and chocolate or vanilla extract to the butter mass. Rub thoroughly.

Then add golden syrup / honey and melted chocolate. Blend.

Reduce the mixer speed and gradually add wholemeal flour, cocoa, baking powder and baking soda. Finally, add the chocolate particles. Cover everything with cling film and refrigerate for several minutes.

Prepare the trays by lining them with baking paper. Tear off pieces of dough and create even, small balls. Arrange at intervals and flatten slightly.

Bake at 175 degrees C for 13-15 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.

Enjoy your meal!
