Asparagus in puff pastry

The perfect snack to serve to guests or for dinner. Tasty, crunchy, almost melting in your mouth, and easy to prepare.


  • 1 package of puff pastry
  • about 300g of green asparagus
  • 100g of ripening ham, e.g. jamon serrano
  • 4 slices of yellow cheese
  • 1 egg white
  • nigella
  • 0.5 teaspoon of dried garlic

Wash the asparagus and cut off the hard ends. We preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.

We roll out a sheet of puff pastry. Place slices of cheese on it, and then slices of ripening ham. Then we divide the dough along the short edge, cutting into narrow slices in the same amount as we have asparagus.

Wrap each asparagus with a piece of dough with cheese and ham. Place on a tray lined with baking paper.

Ready snacks are smeared with egg white, sprinkled with nigella seeds and slightly dried garlic.

Bake for about 20-25 minutes until the pastry is golden.
