When you get bored of the usual sauerkraut salad, you can prepare a hot version, but without a roux and flour. A simple addition to dinner you’ll love right away.
This supplement also fits into a ketogenic and low carbohydrate diet.
For 4 people
- 500g sauerkraut
- 2 onions
- 2 tablespoons of lard
- salt to taste
Peel and dice the onion.
Place the cabbage in a saucepan, pour water on it, add onion and lard .
Stew cabbage from time to time, stirring until tender. we add pepper a lot, but here at our discretion. We can season with salt, but it is not necessary.
Water should evaporate to a large extent.
Serve warm, as an addition to meat and more.
