Have you ever run out of bread and didn’t have yeast or sourdough? This situation happened to me.
So I baked two small loaves on soda and plain yogurt. I also used whole wheat flour, so they are healthier.
The recipe is simple and quick to make. Try and you!
Ingredients
1 large or 2 smaller loaves
- 400g wheat flour
- 400g wholemeal flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder
- 2 teaspoons of salt
- 6 tablespoons of oil
- 3 cups of natural yogurt
- 4 tablespoons of milk
- black cumin for sprinkling
Put the flour into the bowl. Add baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix. Add oil, yogurt and milk.
Mix thoroughly, kneading lightly.
Preheat the oven to 200st C.
Prepare two smaller, rectangular molds or one larger (33cm x 16cm). Grease them and sprinkle with semolina. Put the cake in molds and level it.
Pour over the top with a little milk to make them brown. You can sprinkle with black cumin.
Bake for 40 minutes in a preheated oven. Get out.
Bon Appetit!
