Buckwheat with bacon and vegetables

Simple food is the best.

Having no idea for dinner, I ended up composing a dish of buckwheat, vegetables and fried bacon. A hearty and good dish.


for 4 people

  • 2 bags of buckwheat groats (about 200g)
  • 1 red pepper
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 small onion
  • 150g smoked bacon in a piece
  • salt and pepper

Cook the buckwheat according to the information on the package.

Cut the bacon into small cubes. Heat the pan and fry the bacon until golden brown.

Meanwhile, finely chop the onion and dice the pepper. Add to fried bacon.

Fry the peppers until soft.

Dice the tomatoes and add to the rest of the ingredients.

Then add the cashews and fry for a few minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Serve warm. You can sprinkle with fresh green parsley.
