The photos may not be perfect, but it was the only time I could take them, because they quickly disappeared from the plates.
A delicious dish with some vegetables smuggled into it. Perfect dinner.
Ingredients
- 750g minced meat (beef or pork and beef)
- 1 small onion
- 1/2 carrot
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1/2 red pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of sweet paprika
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 soaked kaiser roll (small roll)
- 1 large egg
- salt and pepper
- several slices of bacon, thinly sliced bacon (12-16)
Additionally: potatoes and your favorite salad
Set the oven to 180-190 degrees Celsius.
Chop the onion and pepper into small cubes, and grate the carrot on fine meshes.
Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a pan. Add the onion, carrot and red pepper, fry for a while. Season with paprika and finely chopped garlic. Mix thoroughly and leave to cool.
Place the minced meat in a bowl, add breadcrumbs, cooled down vegetables, soaked and squeezed breadcrumbs and add an egg. Mix everything together and season with salt and pepper.
Lightly grease a muffin tin with oil and line each indentation with slices of bacon arranged crosswise.
Divide the meat into portions and form balls. We place each in the cavity of the mold and cover it with the protruding bacon. (should make 6-8 meatballs, but you can also make smaller ones)
Place in the oven and bake for about 45 minutes.
Serve with your favorite ingredients, e.g. potatoes and salad.
