Greece on your plate.
I present juicy, spicy Greek meatballs that taste fantastic. Meatballs are dipped in flour and fried.
Keftedes are tastiest when they are just fried. The meatballs get a crispy surface and become juicy inside. They really taste delicious.
Ingredients
4 servings
- 500 g of minced meat of any kind
- 100ml of breadcrumbs
- 1 red onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 egg
- a handful of finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon of dried mint (or 1 tablespoon of fresh, finely chopped mint)
- salt and pepper
- flour (for breading)
- frying oil
Finely chop the onion, squeeze or grate the garlic cloves.
In a bowl, combine the minced meat, onion, garlic, finely chopped parsley, mint, oregano, eggs, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Mix it well.
Wet your hands and prepare round meatballs. Arrange on a plate.
Then roll the meatballs in flour, shake off any excess flour.
Heat the oil in a frying pan. Fry the meatballs for about 3 minutes on each side, time may vary depending on how large the meatballs are. Place the fried meatballs on a paper towel to get rid of excess fat.
Serve with your favorite toppings. For example, you can use kabak salad / sauce , salad and baked potatoes.
Enjoy your meal!
