Delicious, easy-to-make cookies with poppy seeds. Just in time for coffee. You can prepare your own poppy seed mass or use ready-made. I present a quick version made of ready-made poppy seeds.
Ingredients
- 2 sheets of puff pastry
- 250g of ready-made poppy seed mass
- 50g of raisins
- 50g of walnuts
- 50g of coconut
- 1 tablespoon of melted butter
- egg yolk
Place the poppy seed mass in a bowl. Add raisins, walnuts, coconut and melted butter. Mix thoroughly.
Roll out one piece of puff pastry. Then spread the poppy seed mass evenly.
Cover with the second sheet of puff pastry and press gently.
Cut the dough along the short side into 3-4 cm thick strips. You can make shorter ones by cutting them in two more parts (I have 10 strips). We grab each strip on both sides and twist it to form a spiral.
Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Grease the top with yolk.
Bake in an oven preheated to 190 degrees C for about 15-20 minutes. to brown.
You can sprinkle them with powdered sugar or decorate them with frosting, but you might as well eat them alone.
Bon Appetit!
