Mackerel paste

A simple, tasty mackerel paste that does not require special skills. Smoked fish mixed with cheese is the perfect addition to sandwiches.

For this, choose a tomato.


  • 1 large smoked mackerel, approximately 350g
  • 125g of cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon of mustard
  • 1/2 red onion
  • salt
  • pepper

Peel the mackerel by cleaning the spine, tail and bones. Tear off the pieces of meat checking that there are no small pieces of bones left.

Place the mackerel pieces in a bowl and mash them with a fork.

Dice the red onion finely.

Add the onion, cream cheese, mustard and mayonnaise to the mackerel. Crush everything together and mix. Season with salt and pepper.

Serve on a bread roll or slices of bread with tomato.
