Spanish tomato toast with jamón serrano

Quick tapas. A simple snack perfect for lunch, dinner or a party with friends. Ready in 5 minutes.

Jamón serrano is a Spanish ham similar to prosciutto, so feel free to use it when needed.


for 3 people

  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon of lime juice
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 6 slices of bread, or 12 slices of baguette
  • 6 slices of Serrano ham
  • grated parmesan

Chop the tomatoes finely, and so does the garlic.

Mix the sliced ​​tomatoes, garlic clove, olive oil, lime juice, salt and pepper. Set aside for a while.

For serving, bake the slices of bread or baguettes in a pan or oven until browned. 

Put some tomatoes on each toast. On top, tear the jamón serrano into smaller pieces and spread over each slice of bread.

Sprinkle everything with grated Parmesan cheese.

Serve right away. Enjoy your meal!
