Muesli bars full of seeds

Simple and quick bars that do not require baking. They contain a lot of seeds, nuts. They are filling and satisfy hunger.

Chia and flax seeds are extremely high in fiber and healthy fats, including Omega 3. Sunflower seeds are rich in vitamin E, magnesium and selenium. Plus a lot of nuts and oatmeal.

We get the sweetness from two sources: dates and maple syrup (if you are not vegan you can use honey). Natural glue and sugar in our bars.

Try it and you won’t regret it!

  • 1.5 cups of oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup almonds, hazelnuts, Brazil nuts or pecans (mixed, roughly chopped)
  • 1 glass of dates
  • 2 tablespoons of chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut
  • 2 tablespoons of raisins
  • 2 tablespoons of sunflower seeds
  • 2 tablespoons of flax
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup (or honey if you are not vegan)
  • 1/3 cup of peanut butter

You can roast oatmeal and chopped nuts in the oven (180 degrees C for 13-15 minutes) or in a frying pan until golden brown.

Chop the dates in a food processor.

Put in a bowl: oatmeal, nuts, dates, coconut , chia seeds, linseed and sunflower seeds, raisins. Set aside.

In a saucepan, heat peanut butter with maple syrup (or honey). Stir and pour into a bowl. Mix, preferably with your hands, to get it all together.

Put it into the dish: 16cm x 16cm, lined with foil or paper so that it can be easily removed. Align, cover with paper and press down with something flat (book). Put in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

Take out and cut into bars. Enjoy your meal!
