Pizza with balsamic mushrooms and cheddar

How to make your evening pleasant? Preferably a delicious slice of pizza.

Everyone has their favorite flavors, but I like it best with mushrooms. Here I also used the interesting taste of mushrooms in combination with balsamic vinegar and cheese with a rather characteristic flavor. Serrano ham adds extra flavor, but can be omitted.

And let me just add that I never try to make the pizza perfect round, its taste counts for me, so forgive the shape.


  • 1 portion of pizza dough, e.g. homemade pizza dough
  • 250g of mushrooms
  • 100g cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of basil
  • 100ml of homemade ketchup or tomato puree (or pizza sauce)
  • 30g of serrano ham (optional)
  • jalapeno (optional)

Prepare the mushrooms . Wash and cut into slices. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and add the mushrooms. Fry for a while and then add the balsamic vinegar .

Fry everything for about 8 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees C.

Spread the pizza dough on a baking tray or pizza stone.

Brush your pizza with homemade ketchup or tomato puree. Sprinkle with basil. Then sprinkle with half the cheese, lay out the mushrooms and Serrano ham. Optionally, you can add jalapeno if you like spicy. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top.

Bake for about 15 minutes, until the skin is golden and the cheese is completely melted.

Cut into pieces and enjoy the taste of your pizza!
